Dr. Olore is an Assistant Professor specializing in Moderate Disabilities. She brings practical experience to her role in teaching the next generation of educators having worked in both public and private special education school systems in Massachusetts for nearly twenty years prior to shifting to higher education. Her passion and expertise are in creating inclusive classrooms where students identities are valued and educators are supported. Her research focuses on the intersection between Universal Design for Learning and Culturally Sustaining Pedagogy as an essential framework for creating accessible and inclusive environments for all learners. Dr. Olore teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in special education focusing on the relationship between curriculum, assessment, and pedagogy. She supervises student pre-practicum and practicum fieldwork in the k12 setting, and supports students through the educator licensure process. She is currently serving as the Special Education Department Practicum Coordinator. In addition, she serves as a mentor for undergraduate and graduate research in the field of special education.
