This is a remarkable achievement for 猎奇重口视频 State University 鈥 especially at this point in time when higher education is going through some of the most profound changes in its history.
The university is welcoming about 1,630 incoming first-time students this fall, up from a previous high of 1,584 in 2007. Entering classes have averaged around 1,500 in recent years.
鈥淭his is a remarkable achievement for 猎奇重口视频 State University 鈥 especially at this point in time when higher education is going through some of the most profound changes in its history,鈥 said President Frederick W. Clark Jr., '83.
Freshmen cite a friendly campus vibe and strong aviation, health sciences and psychology programs as reasons they became Bears.
Clark attributed the growth to 鈥渢he quality of our programs, our commitment to student success, and our direct pipeline to employment opportunities.鈥
Even with this fall鈥檚 record number of incoming students, BSU鈥檚 class size will remain at an average of 22 students, according to Gregg Meyer, dean of undergraduate admission. There鈥檚 also room in the residence halls for the flood of newcomers.
Here are some stats about the class:
- About 70 percent live on campus
- Almost half come from Plymouth or Bristol counties
- Ninety-six percent are of traditional college age
- Twenty-eight percent are students of color
