Why do you enjoy working at BSU?
I am fortunate to work for a university that really embraces its transfer students. Transferring can be an overwhelming process, between the transfer credit evaluation, cost of attendance and joining a new community. BSU truly helps ease the transfer student’s mind and enables them to discover that BSU is the right choice and a place they can call home.
The best thing about BSU?
The opportunities! From internships to study abroad to undergraduate research, BSU offers it all!
Fun Fact:
I met my husband when we were both admission recruiters for other institutions. I also attended college in a town called Henniker, the ”Only Henniker on Earth”!
Pro-tip for success in college:
Really soak in your core requirements. It might just spark an interest in a field you never thought of pursuing before!

Why do you enjoy working at BSU?
I enjoy meeting with so many new students and having the opportunity to support them through such a unique transition in their academic careers. The decision to transfer in college introduces change which can be exciting, and it can also make your head spin with questions about the process. It is a pleasure to work at a university that values the transfer student community and at Transfer Services, we truly strive to help ease this process as students proceed forward at BSU in pursuit of their goals and aspirations.
The best thing about BSU?
The students! They are the heartbeat of BSU and represent the energy, opportunity, and pride that can be experienced all throughout the campus. Each student has their own story leading them to BSU and it is a privilege to be a part of that journey.
Fun Fact:
I transferred not once, but twice in college as a student! Those experiences led me to BSU and ultimately graduating (also twice!) and now working here at Transfer Services.
Pro-tip for success in college:
Keep an open mind toward yourself as a student and toward your peers. The core curriculum presents an opportunity for students to learn more about their interests but also discover people, subjects, fields, and careers you may not have previously had exposure to. Another pro-tip, stop by Transfer Services to say hello and ask questions!

Why do you enjoy working at BSU?
I love and appreciate the welcoming community BSU creates for all students – but especially transfers! Having navigated that process myself during my undergrad, seeing how BSU supports transfers and helps to create a less stressful transition for these students is really admirable.
The best thing about BSU?
The people! BSU is home to such a fun, unique, welcoming student/staff/faculty population. The people are at the heart of this university, and it really shows!
Fun Fact:
I was homeschooled through high school and took two gap years after I graduated to travel. I had a mix of college credits from 4 different institutions and navigated the transfer process myself, finally finishing my degree at Lesley University!
