Internships
Internships represent an invaluable opportunity to see government in action and participate in processes that demonstrate the theories elucidated in class. BSU political science students have completed internships at locations ranging from the offices of U.S. Senators Edward Markey and Elizabeth Warren and Governor Charlie Baker, to the Consulate General of Canada in Boston, the Suffolk County Superior Court and Plimoth Plantation. BSU also partners with The Washington Center, a Washington, D.C.-based organization that helps students find unique internship opportunities at a variety of employers in our nation鈥檚 capital.

Undergraduate Research
Working under the guidance of an experienced faculty member, motivated undergraduate students complete original research, making their own vital contribution to political theory at an early stage in their career.

Democratic Governance and Leadership Program
Established within the BSU Department of Political Science in 1997, the Democratic Governance and Leadership Program promotes research, teaching and policy application while engaging with the economic, cultural, civic and political life of our Southeastern Massachusetts community.
